Ideas about my City

For my city I want to incorporate old and new. I want some buildings to be abandoned and being overtaken by nature and then right next to it a brand new modern building. I like having different type architecture including skyscrapers, two story houses, 4 story buildings. For the modern buildings I really like the idea of glass building they are vast but don't really have to much detail to them. I would also like to have some of the buildings possibly on the river. I want nature to be a huge part of the city where it is not just over taking the abandoned building but the new ones and the streets as well.

This is a map I found. I like it because the river runs right through the city and well as having some mountains in the middle. 

Here is a tree that I made. In my city I want a lot of nature with a lot of trees not sure how I want the trees to look yet. I am thinking that I want normal looking trees and then crazy looking trees to show the advancements that the city has.
